What do I wear?
You will need to wear - For the Vacunaut: leggings or bike shorts and a tight (thin) top underneath the suit to avoid the suit touching your skin wherever possible. This is both for hygiene reasons and to avoid any chaffing on the skin. You will also need to wear runners for walking on the treadmill.
For the L250 - shorts and t-shirt - and runners.
Will I get sweaty?
Yes - the machines are quite hot and people do tend to sweat more than they would as part of normal exercise. This contributes to the weight loss you will achieve.
How many sessions do I need to do?
This depends on how much stomach you want to lose! If you are reasonably slim but just want to use the machines to tone the stomach (eg. Post pregnancy) then you will probably only need about 6-8 sessions. If however you have significant build up on fat around the stomach and waist areas then you will probably need to do at least 12 sessions.
As the weight on the hips and thighs is harder to shift - we find 12 sessions is always required on the L250.
How often do I need to do it?
The best results are achieved by doing the sessions 3 times per week so that all 12 sessions are completed within 4 weeks.
How much will I lose?
This is dependent on a number of factors - like weight, the circumference of your stomach, how "soft" the fat is and how long you've had the problem. But largely it depends on your bodies propensity to lose weight. It is certainly possible for Vacunaut users to lose up to 15cm in 4 weeks - but many people find that even though the cms are not that significant - the trouser sizes drop considerably. You can certainly aim to drop up to 2 trouser sizes in your 12 sessions.

Do I have to diet too?
We do not recommend dieting but we do recommend that you try and reduce your energy intake whist you are doing your sessions - see our dietary tips page. The machines are no quick fix - they do work but it requires dedication and effort on your part too.
It is best if you eat before you come in for your session as the best results are achieved by not eating anything for 30 minutes after the session, and not eating any carbohydrates for up to 6 hours after the session (as the body will continue to burn fat from the stomach for up to 6 hours after the session - or until you eat a carbohydrate meal).
Will the weight stay off?
The weight loss from the machines has been proven by MRI machines to be fat loss not fluid loss - so the loss will not instantly come back when you stop using the machine. However, like any weight loss, there is a need to maintain the loss through continued exercise and sensible eating.
Will it work for everyone?
Yes but for some people it will take considerably longer than for others to see the results. If you have a medical condition like Polycystic Overies which causes you to store more weight around the middle, then you are likely to lose the weight and fat from this area much more slowly - however the machines will still be more effective for burning the fat in this area than if you were just trying to reduce the stomach through conventional training.
Is this just for the girls?
Absolutely not, males achieve the best results on the Vacunaut as they tend to store the weight directly around the waist and stomach rather than on the stomach and hips.
Why haven't I heard of this before - is it new?
These machines are very new to Australia but they have been around in Europe and the UK for many years and there are many studies and testimonials to prove that they do work.
Does it hurt?
No - the exercise is hard work as you need to keep your heart rate in the fat burning zone but it should not hurt. The pressure from the vacunaut suit is very gentle and simply feels like someone playing the piano with their fingers on your tummy!
Will I lose weight in places other than the stomach?
You should lose weight overall while you are doing these but the targeting of the machines will cause this to be minimal. We recommend you combine your Hypoxi sessions with a vibration training sessions to achieve the maximum toning across the body.
Can everyone use the Vacunaut?
No - there are a few contrindications. The Vacunaut is not suitable for anyone who:
- has been Pregnant within the last 3 months
- is breastfeeding
- has a significant heart condition
- has significantly high or low blood pressure
- has breast implants; or
- has pathological or inflamed varicose veins.

Do you guarantee the results?
We guarantee our end as long as you guarantee yours! When you come in for your first session - we will weigh and measure you. This enables us to determine what you can realistically expect to lose from you sessions. If you are doing the 12 sessions - we will also guarantee this loss for you.
If however you to do not lose the guaranteed loss by the end of your 12 sessions (providing you have completed the sessions within 1 month) then you will be able to continue using the machines for no additional cost until you reach the goal loss.
